On the morning of October 27, GMU held the Second "Hongyi Cup" Campus Mini-marathon Event at the Huangjin Campus. GMU Vice-President Sheng Yaohuan attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wen Youliang, the Dean of School of Rehabilitation, presided over the opening ceremony, with more than 1,100 alumni, teachers and their family members, as well as students participating in it.
Sheng Yaohuan pointed out that on the occasion of of clinical medicine majors certification, GMU held the "Hongyi Cup" Campus Mini-marathon Event with the aim to gather the strength of GMU through national fitness. Sheng expressed the hope that all teachers and students took this activity as an opportunity to build the philosophy of lifelong exercise, and invest in learning and work with healthier physical fitness and more energy, and that all participating athletes had the courage to challenge themselves on the track, so as to demonstrate the strength of GMU.
After the athletes’ representative speech and the group warming-up before the competition, Sheng fired shots for the event.
On the 2.8-kilometer campus race track, the contestants measured the campus with agile steps, showcasing the spirit of teachers and students.


After intense competition, male faculty athletes Ouyang Yi'an, Huang Ruohui, Huang Zihao, and female faculty athletes He Huihua, Jiang Shan, Rao Xiuzhen won the first, second, and third prize respectively in the corresponding faculty groups. Male student athletes Xu Zhenpeng, Wei Haowen, Xiong Kaifeng, and female student athletes Li Shijiao, Hu Jiali, and Kuang Yating respectively won first, second, and third prize respectively in the corresponding student groups.
All schools’ leaders concerned participated in the event together.
