On the afternoon of January 18, the International Education College (IEC) of GMU invited relevant police officers from the Exit-Entry Management Office of Ganzhou Public Security Bureau, the Exit-Entry Branch of Rongjiang District of Ganzhou Public Security Bureau, and the Traffic Police Detachment of Rongjiang District Brigade of Ganzhou Public Security Bureau to hold the Winter Vacation Safety Lecture Activity for Chinese and International Students of GMU under the theme of “Police-GMU Cooperation” in classroom 508 of the second teaching building. IEC Associate Dean Zhong Fuyou presided over it.

During the activity, the traffic police of Rongjiang District introduced traffic regulations to Chinese and international students from the aspects of traffic rules, drunk driving, and driving requirements. By playing videos of various violations leading to traffic safety accidents, they helped Chinese and international students understand the importance of complying with traffic rules. The traffic police answered the traffic regulations and driver's license questions raised by Chinese and international students. The immigration policemen distributed the latest version of the "Welcome to China" immigration management regulations brochure to international students, promoting relevant regulations and answering questions, which the atmosphere was lively.

Through today's learning, I have learned more about Chinese laws, and have gained a lot from living and studying here." MUHAMMAD IBRAR, a Batch 2020 Pakistani student, said, "We must abide by laws and regulations and drive legally."

As the winter vacation approaches, IEC, with consideration of the situation of international students remaining in GMU, holds a winter vacation safety education promotion activity under the theme of “Police-GMU Cooperation”, which plays an important role in helping international students develop the consciousness of complying with Chinese laws and regulations. It is of great significance to ensure that students have a safe and peaceful winter vacation life.
