On January 23, Tang Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Medical Information Engineering (SMIE), led a team to visit the students from economically disadvantaged families in Tangkou Town, Rongjiang District, and Jingba Town, Nankang District. They learned about the status quo of the students' families on the spot and presented them with rice, noodles, oil, milk, and money for expressing sympathy and solicitude. The counselors and headteachers of SMIE join together.

During the visit, Tang Ming inquired about the students' family situation, and current difficulties in detail, and provided feedback to parents on the students' academic performance during their stay in GMU. Tang Ming encourages students to build confidence, study hard to learn professional knowledge, and successfully complete their studies.
Visiting students from economically disadvantaged families is a tradition of the school's funding and education system. In the future, SMIE will continue to build an atmosphere of funding and nurturing with love, and continue to do a good job in visiting the students from economically disadvantaged families.
